Omni, Omni, Quaecumque vera doce me……
I often receive emails asking questions about demons, demonology and how to conjure / summon such a being. Always wanting to address a topic of interest, I decided to blog on the subject. Let me begin with a few bits of information that are critical to demonology.
First, do not play coy with me by asking these “trivial questions” of which you “mean no harm“. If you dance with the devil….you WILL DANCE. By asking the question, you are opening yourself to a one way ticket to a harsh reality and education. You cannot “un-ring” the bell. I will share, but you must be willing to accept the consequences.
Secondly, you are not as brave and bravado-filled as you have told yourself while staring into a mirror. Do not assume you cannot be reduced to a sniveling child in the blink of the eye. Let me be clear, as I have stated many times in the past, Satan and all minions of satanic / demonic beings are REAL. There is not an off button for a demon. You are supposed to learn, not to direct. Thirdly, you are a fool if you are dabbling in the occult to fit into a peer group. You’re playing with your life and not theirs. Take heed.
OK, so if you agree to these terms and want to proceed, I will guide you through the process. I will not dumb-it-down so please keep up with the conversation…..so to speak.
“The name “Grimoire” is derived from the word “Grammar”. A Grimoire is a description of a set of magical symbols and how to combine them properly.”
The Grimoire will be an important element needed for our work. A notepad is fine, even a legal pad will suffice. The objective is to keep accurate notes and an account of the work each time you perform. The work, similar to dreams, will soon be forgotten if you are working on a higher plane. Just as when you awake from a dream, you should write down what you remember from the working ASAP. If not, you will forget valuable information and loose irreplaceable insight experienced during the height of energy working.
Lunar cycles are superfluous to demons. New and Full Moons are known to hold more energy but it is not necessary for our work at hand. The arrangement of the celestial bodies does not dictate the work for our magic. The alignment of stars may be important for horoscopes and other occult workings but not for the workings of our ceremonial initiatives. I also cover some of the energy differences in my other

Solitude is very important for your first foray into the conjuring world. You must focus your mind and energy on the task and not be distracted by others. Also, do not expect a huge win-fall or magical demonstration to transpire. A test of will is needed and there is no such thing as “
drive through magic” just as there is no success for those who sit on their
gluteus maximus all day. Investment = Returns. For you teenagers who are going to run down to
Bed, Bath and Beyond and buy some candles and conjure up a demon, don’t bother. You may actually harm yourself in a maladaptive process.
There are different orders (
ordnung) of demons. A working knowledge of their hierarchy is important ergo you must invest time for an understanding. Calling a demon lower in the echelon is preferable for the beginner. Call
Samael (Demon of death) on your first try may find you in a
psychotic ward shortly thereafter.

Some practitioners will write down their recitations and actions required during the working in the Grimoire and record the results adjacent on the same pages. I recommend this method because it follows a chronological path through the event and makes it easy to digest later. I also find sketching any visuals helps to keep the images vivid for recollection.
The ritual should open as any other ritual. If you are not familiar with this, the
Book of Satanic Magic will help you. Do your homework and reap the benefits.
In some belief systems, the pentagram or other symbolic circle is used to protect the practitioner from a demon or other being. For Satanists, the
Sigil of Baphomet is an important image but it will not protect you from the
boogie man. Be serious, a demon can transverse time and dimensions. A circle on the floor
or any other tchotchke will not contain them………thus the stern warning at the beginning of this post. It is not a pet on a leash. “Caveat Emptor“
As the ceremony is opened, you should pay close attention to vibrations, sounds, temperature changes, etc. Some demons manifest as slight changes in ambient lighting produced by candlelight. Others will bring an uneasy “chill” to the otherwise temperate conditions of the sanctum. I have experienced the movement of small objects caused by a quick puff of air from an undetermined direction. These are all examples however, none are constantly present. Demons are individuals (as we) and they make their entrance as they wish.
It has been my experience that shortly after the abnormality mentioned above, the being appears; void of form. The center of the energy mass usually vivid and discernible from others if multiple demons appear simultaneously. This is often the precursor of a full visual manifestation. This interim presentation seems to be a “testing of the water” period to establish the veracity, fortitude and / or tenacity of the practitioner. Once it has been authenticated by the being, a full display is indulged.
If you have prepared as you should, you will be afforded the opportunity to “plead your case“ to the being. At this point, the ceremonial mambo-jumbo can be dispatched. You should speak clearly and articulate your desires in an unambiguous manner as quickly as possible. This is not a social gathering…………you called, and the call was answered. Remain focused and on point with your desire(s). Do not waste time and DO NOT PRESUME YOU ARE EQUAL TO THE BEING. Demons do not respect humans and they are not impressed with your pitiful myopic life.
Tempora mutantur et nos mutamur in illis……………
As you read this passage, human denial, ridicule and renunciation and the acceptance of real demons is probably causing a chuckle or two from some. For others, that have had experiences as I, know that this is a true and correct accounting of this wondrous occurrence. If you do not believe, I accept that. I also know that for the student of the LHP, opening oneself to a cultivating and rewarding experience is at the heart of the practitioner’s journey.
You may dismiss this as quell and fabrication but I urge you to consider this……Do not cheat yourself and abnegate in exchange for baseless humanistic fodder. Open your mind and reach a new awareness.
When a demon first appears, it will be a shocking and baffling experience. Everything you have been taught to believe and have accepted as the truth is suddenly called into question. Just like the imbeciles that claim to be Satanists without believing in Satan, your belief system will be turned upside down.
The moment of reckoning is a humanistic shock and the senses become acutely aware of their limitations. I have witnessed many “bad-asses“ who cry like a baby within a few minutes of a demonic manifestation.
I realize the human mind will stretch like a rubber band – to the point of breaking – when witnessing such an event. It is this realization that allows a person, properly prepared, to not only experience this thing or happening but to actually learn the inner workings of the craft; gaining an insight and ability to recreate the atmosphere almost at will. It is a strain on the psyche however, that only focus, practice and an open mind can overcome.
One attribute I have noticed almost every time of manifestation is a temperature change. When wearing a robe (as worn during all rituals, rites and invocations) one tends to notice the slightest variation in the environment. I have witnessed such a drastic change causing a hot and humid summer night to turn almost
frosty; to the point that I could see my breath in the candles and firelight.
Another common denominator I have witnessed over the past twenty (some odd) years is the unmistakable smell of sulfur just before the revelation. The odor is a stench commensurate to boiled eggs (perhaps after a few days). This phenomenon is a bit unnerving for initiates or those who have never experience a real demon.
When fully realized, the demon is usually an
emerald color with an almost
hallowing effect. This being is superior to humans in every way and the frenetic and demented atmosphere is reduced to pure awe and admiration. This being demands respect, reverence, wonderment and worship. Without the due respect, a consternation of pure evil, pain and a stripping of the mind is to be the only recollection; if any.
During numerous invocations, an incubus begins having sexual intercourse with the female altar. During such encounters, it is not unusual for the female to sustain bruising, scratching and contusions, including discoloration and swelling. These marks are very much REAL and they are bore days after the invocation takes place. In one case, our beauty actually experienced tearing of the vaginal wall causing profuse bleeding. There were no signs of ejaculate and/or semen.
During an encounter, time seems to stand still and yet race concurrently. Watches nor clocks are allowed within the
Inner Sanctum so I have never taken measure of the duration but these
demonic trysts last well into the early morning hours before conclusion. Some rituals our coven performs actually begins in the early morning hours (
especially a curse / sacrificial working)
for reasons covered in my books.When this manifestation takes place, the sun is rising when we conclude and disperse.

I attended one such meeting in California a few years ago and experienced something totally daunting. Two demons appeared during the ceremony and both ravaged the altar in a quite violent manner. During the event, the screams of anguish were met with grim delight and mockery from the visitants. Afterward, she was carried to the ER for medical treatment.
In my experience, there are variations in the appearances of demons and each has individual characteristics and demeanor. I have invoked the same demons throughout the years and can recognize the traits of the demons summoned. They are, in fact, as docile and jovial on certain occasions as members of the coven or a colleague. There are those times however, that the same being seems agitated, disturbed or adversarial from the first few moments. Those are the occasions to remember who possesses the true power and control….it is not you nor a member of the coven!

It has been my desire in this blog to transmit knowledge that will afford followers of the LHP the opportunity to deepen their magical skills and understanding. I have described the result of the invocation but in this part, I wish to discuss the actual process of conjuration and the subtle, yet inestimable, concepts of Satanic Magic.
I have touched upon some of the mechanics of demonic ritual in previous posts. The actual implements, approbation, tools, techniques, etc. are outlined in the Book of Satanic Magic so I will not cover them in this blog.
I will however open the reader to the acceptance and responsiveness of demonic powers that culminate into an incontrovertible corollary for the practitioner.
First, let me point out that the ways of magic are not exclusive to the Magus; anyone with the proper training, tenacity, patience and determination can expect consummate results. As with anything, the reward is equally proportionate to the investment made by the practitioner. The mind and body must be attuned to the slightest dimensional harmonics to make compensatory redress and lessen the attenuate course of action.

The choice of demonic force desired is usually according to the ritual being conducted; In Rem: Destruction ritual would necessitate a menacing and contentious being with the ability to do your evil dealing without any reservation whatsoever.
Motherhood
I prefer a demon such as Samael (Demon of Death) for this type of working. The match of tactic and tactician is very important. This is magic where real and tangible results are produced; magic is not a stratagem.
The
Ritual of Baphomet can be used as an opening for the
Ritual of Black Flame. Both rituals are precursors to a summons and both work well together. Advantageous transitions into the conjurations can be found by using these rituals. The right frame of mind is both necessary and conspicuous for the practitioner. One only has to experience the true working of the conjure to be forever transformed through a
satanic metamorphosis; just as caterpillar to chrysalis (pupa) to the butterfly. All actions play out to the five senses and some are overwhelming. For example, when the being
Azazel (
that great shepherd and scapegoat) materializes, there is always a sound that reminds me of a goat bleating. As I mentioned in the earlier posts, each being is as individual as we humans
.
The ringing of a bell nine (9) times (
during ritual work) clears the air inside the
Inner Sanctum.
Anton Lavey described the Inner Sanctum as the “
intellectual decompression chamber” in his book
The Satanic Bible.

Clearing the air inside this “chamber” allows the resonate harmonics and low-frequency oscillation to manifest in useful satanic vibrations. His explanation is quite simple yet cognitively advanced.
“The formalized beginning and end of the ceremony acts as a dogmatic, anti‐intellectual device, the purpose of which is to disassociate the activities and frame of reference of the outside world from that of the ritual chamber, where the whole will must be employed. This facet of the ceremony is most important to the intellectual, as he especially requires the “decompression chamber” effect of the chants, bells, candles, and other trappings, before he can put his pure and willful desires to work for himself, in the projection and utilization of his imagery.”
The imagery conceived in the mind plays a part and as I have discussed before, imagining the outcome of a ritual (in this case the materialization of a demon) is very important. You (and the coven) must be prepared for the visualization of the demon and the group should discuss the imagery before entering the Inner Sanctum and opening the ritual. Without this all-important step, the members of the coven are each imagining a different outcome from the process than the other coven members; and thus confusion and a failed conjure.
Speak with one voice and think as one mind within your coven and ensure everyone is mentally prepared.
Purification of the body, just as the air, is very important as well. Bathing before rituals is not only a
courtesy for your coven members (
who may perform fellatio on you later) but is ultimately respectful to
Satan and the demons you invite into your rituals. Respect is not only desired but it is required of the hellish hosts. Any less that absolute reverence, tribute and worship is unpardonable and should never be condoned or allowed to manifest within the working coven. Members should understand and comply with this simple precept.

When performing any incantation, the culmination and focus of energy is vital and conjuration is no different. The focus of the group’s energy allows for the frenetic controlled chaos to be channeled into a powerful medium with fantastic results. The group begins building this energy long before entering the Inner Sanctum.
This energy is identical to that of a child who is looking forward to a special event (such as the arrival of Santa Claus) and the anticipation amplifies as time passes. The magic of the coven is no different from this crude analogy. By the time the practitioner finally enters the Inner Sanctum, he/she can hardly contain them self. Thus, the unabated pure power.
I also equate this feeling to being sexually stimulated but not to the point of orgasm. The result is the same. More on that (
ritual sex magic) in future blog posts.

In this series, we have examined the precepts of demonology and the workings of satanic magic to conjure the desired demon manifestation. I will not cover the opening or closing rituals which are covered on other blog posts and in the
Book of Satanic Magic.
We will now work through a simple invocation so a better understanding can be attained. Let’s examine an invocation to the Lord Azazel as performed by a coven.
The ceremony should be opened and any other working, such as Initiations or Rituals, should be performed as normal. The conjure should only be done once all Initiations have been performed.
The Magus approaches the altar and begins the recitation while holding the open Grimoire in the right hand and the Satanic Athame in the left hand. The altar holds a black candle in her left hand and a red candle in her right hand. Each member of the group holds an unlit black candle, which will be lit during the conjuration.

Magus: It is time Lord Satan. In your hands we place our coven and we call upon you to permit our will to be done. From the black earth we open the Gates of Hell, herein bless us in kind and extinguish our doubts while freeing our human bonds.
Thank you, Satan, for the bounty we are about to receive and those things soon to witness in your name. Allow your servant Azazel to manifest in this Inner Sanctum. Possess our bodies and our will be done.
All: Shemhemphorash! Hail Satan!
**As the Magus reads the next section, a member (possibly a Deacon) will take a black candle, light it and light each member’s candle.
Magus: I call upon you Lord Azazel, the Horned Demon of the Flock.
The Guardian of the Angle of The Flame, the Spark in the Eye of the Great Darkness I call forth Azazel!”

**The energy that has been building (as discussed previously) will be release at this point in a wild cry of pleading and shouting. Remember, this energy appears frenzied but it should be however, controlled by the Magus.
Lucifer
The coven chants the refrain concurrently as the Magus repeats the phrase below nine times. The gong or bell is struck each time the Magus completes his / her phrase.
Coven: Azazel, I invoke thee!
Azazel, I summon thee!
Azazel, I conjure thee!
Magus: Azazel, Come forth and bestow the blessings of Hell upon us!
Azazel, Come forth unto our voices!
Azazel, Come forth to do our Satanic bidding!
Azazel, Come forth and reveal yourself to us!
Azazel, Come forth and have your way with us!
Azazel, Come forth, come forth, come forth!
Through the mantra-style repetition of the phrases, it has been my experience that the being will manifest as the gong or bell is struck the ninth time. Continue the chanting until signaled to cease by the being.
Satan
If no signal is received, continue until the being disappears. I have, more times than none, communicated with the demon verbally; signaled to cease the chanting.
The Magus should be prepared to make the group’s wishes known and to reciprocate by asking what the being desires / requires from the group……and the group should comply. Some requests are not the most pleasant but the group should agree prior to the conjure to do whatever is humanly possible to fulfill the being’s wishes.
If the demon was called to participate in a Rite or Ritual (curse, love, healing, etc.) begin the ritual as you normally would and continue to the conclusion.
When the ritual has ended, close as you would any other working and thank the demon for manifesting and taking part in your group.
Satanic Women
The group will disband as so many times before but this time, you will have witnessed a truly important consecrated event. Savor and cherish the privilege of witnessing such a fantastic happening and give the thanks to Satan and the hosts of demons.
I hope this information will assist the coven or individual practitioner of Satanism to have continued success.
